Software QA Engineer

Convera Technologies is looking to grow our Carlsbad, CA based Quality Assurance team. We are seeking a highly motivated Software QA Engineer who is interested in working in a positive, energetic environment.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

In-depth knowledge of Quality Assurance Processes and Methodologies
Solid troubleshooting skills
Ability to create and execute test cases
Ability to create and execute test plans
Working knowledge of UNIX and/or Linux
Strong communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Bachelor’s degree or working equivalent
Minimum 3 years working in Quality Assurance

Highly desirable:

Experience working in an ASP (application service provider) environment
Experience working in web search technologies
Familiarity with UNIX shell scripts
Familiarity with programming languages such as Perl, Perl/CGI, PHP, C/C++, or Java
